Follow this easy plan to get your hair looking wedding ready!

You have got the skin care routine down, body is in training for that dress, but have you stopped to think about your hair?
Don't worry I have you covered, here you are going to find the perfect plan to getting your hair into ultimate shape for the big day. These simple steps can be started at anytime so don't think it is too late if your wedding is just around the corner, or if your wedding has been postponed now is a great time to look after yourself and have that pamper you and your hair need. So here it is the perfect wedding hair plan.
Two-One year ahead
So you are at the start of your planning the venue is booked and you have a date. Now is the time to search for that hair stylist that is going to fit in with your vision. Do your research and explore your options, now would be a great time to set a budget for your hair and bridal party on the day. Check if you favorite hairstylist is free and then book them! Chances are if you like them others will too and most bridal hairstylists will be getting booked up a year in advance.
One year ahead-
You have booked the stylist and you now have some idea of the style you want, but what about the colour? If you want to change from black to blonde or from red to blonde this is going to take sometime to get the right results. You should be starting this gradual process as soon as you can, speak to your stylist about a colour plan. If you start changing your hair this early it will let you get used to the change and it wont be so shocking or damaging close to the day.
One year ahead-
Here we go! Now is the time to start down that road to the perfect hair. This is where you start being kind to your hair, looking after it and making it shine.
Right products!-Make sure you are using products to protect from
damage, a good heat protect is a must.
Repair it!- Invest in a good conditioning mask for your hair type. Do your research and find out the best one for your hair type. I am sure your stylist would be able to recommend you one if you asked.
Invest in it!- Is you hair prone to breakage? You need to invest in a silk pillow. It keeps hair hydrated, frizz free and prevents breakage. Its also great for your skin so you cant go wrong. Its the ultimate luxury of sleeping like a princess before the big day.
Regular trims!-I am sure you hear us hairstylists say it all the time but it so important to keep up appointments for your hair cuts. You should aim to be in the salon every 8 weeks even if you are growing it, add in a deep conditioning treatment to give your hair that little extra care.
Cut out the heat!-Another one we all know, but it is so important and essential for growing the hair. Experiment with different ways to wear your hair up, or if curly embrace that curl and let it dry naturally.
Protect it!-Keep your hair in braids at night to prevent breakage. You could also add a little coconut oil to your hair during braiding if it is slightly porous.
Six months to go-
Now would be a great time to schedule in a facetime with your hairstylist. This will help cover timings, styles and the general running of your morning. If you have not nailed down those accessories now would be a great time and your stylist should be able to help with this.
Four months to go-
Time for that trial! Wash your hair the day before so its nice and fresh but not squeaky clean or worst of all damp. Be prepared with all the accessories/ flowers you want to try and don't rush these appointments can take 3 hours. You will want to leave knowing how every piece of hair will be and confident it is perfect for your day.
Two weeks to go-
It's that time for your last hair appointment. book your colour and trim in so it looks lovely and fresh on the day but will also have time to settle. Book in that last conditioning treatment too, this is your time to relax and enjoy the pamper before the big day.
One week to go-
Just time now for a quick catch up with your stylist to run though arrival times and to check the final details.
One day to go-
Here we are all your hard work has paid off your hair is in tip top condition and super shiny. All that is left to do now is one last wash and blow dry. Stay away from too much product and any deep conditioner, just a light heat protect will do. Tie it back in a low pony or braid and it will be all ready for the morning.
So there you are your perfect plan for your perfect day! I would love to hear your feed back and if this has helped you.
